Ontario Awards Gala
Quest AV produced the Royal LePage Ontario Awards Gala at Beanfield Centre and Hotel X in Toronto, an annual celebration recognizing excellence across the organization. The event called for a production that felt elevated and memorable, reflecting the significance of the awards and the standard Royal LePage holds for its people.
An awards gala lives and dies by its moments. The challenge is building a production environment where the energy is right from the moment guests arrive, key announcements land with real impact, and the overall experience reflects the caliber of the event. Every technical cue has to be timed precisely, because in a room full of people being recognized for their work, there is no margin for a moment to fall flat.
Quest AV designed the full production experience from arrival through to the final award. Rather than treating AV as support, the team built it into the storytelling of the evening. The environment was engineered to create anticipation on entry and sustain energy throughout, with technical effects deployed intentionally to mark the moments that mattered most.
The arrival experience was designed to set the tone before the program even began. A spandex tunnel lit with LED effects created a red carpet atmosphere at entry, and live footage of guests arriving was broadcast on the main stage screen, making the entrance itself part of the show. Guests felt the event before they sat down.
Award announcements were timed with Sparkulars, giving each recognition moment a physical punctuation. Atmospheric smoke added drama to stage entrances, and lighting and sound were choreographed so every cue landed cleanly. In a gala format, these details are not extras. They are what separates a memorable evening from a forgettable one.
Across the full event, lighting, video, and audio worked together as a unified production rather than independent elements. The result reflected Royal LePage’s brand with the kind of polish the occasion required, and reinforced the ongoing relationship between the two organizations built on consistency and trust.
