OVERVIEW:

Invest Canada is the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association’s premier annual conference, bringing together investors, business leaders, policymakers, and private capital professionals. This year’s event, held at the Halifax Convention Centre, attracted nearly 700 attendees for three days of networking, industry insights, and market discussions. Quest AV provided full production services, including audio, video, lighting, creative services, live streaming, digital signage, and technical support throughout the conference venue.

CHALLENGE:

Since partnering with Invest Canada in 2022, Quest AV has been committed to elevating the conference experience year after year. The goal this year was to deliver a fresh visual experience that would wow attendees while maintaining the classic elements that had become part of the event’s identity, all within budget.

SOLUTION:

Quest AV effectively refreshed the event design while still preserving the large-scale LED presence the conference is known for. The event’s LED wall served as the room’s focal point, with three sections positioned at varying depths to create the illusion of presenters entering through the screens.

Additional lighting fixtures and entrance effects, including ballyhoos, were installed to enhance the energy of the room and maximize the visual impact.

Executing Invest Canada calls for high-level coordination behind the scenes. Show calling and stage management were crucial to the success of the conference. The Quest AV team oversaw presenter rehearsals, speaker entrances, furniture changeovers, and session transitions, ensuring everything ran smoothly.

Throughout the event, Quest AV provided support for multiple breakout rooms, foyer activations, live streaming operations, and media accommodations. Digital signage was programmed and updated on a daily basis, ensuring that attendees had access to up-to-date schedules and event information throughout the conference.

With multiple event environments running at the same time, strict attention to detail at every phase helped maintain a smooth experience for presenters, attendees, sponsors, and stakeholders.
