Craft Winter Beer Fest

Craft Winter Beer Fest

Overview:

Steam Whistle Brewing hosted its annual Craft Winter Beer Fest at Toronto’s Roundhouse Park, bringing together the community, local vendors, and live entertainment. With a busy outdoor festival to coordinate and a compressed installation schedule, the Steam Whistle team needed Quest AV to bring a custom truss arch, coordination, and dependable execution behind the scenes.

Challenge:

With only a single day available for load-in and multiple vendors, tenting partners, inspections, and approvals to coordinate, timing was critical. Every moving piece needed to be scheduled carefully to ensure the site was ready for guests without delays or last-minute surprises.

Solution:

Quest AV stuck to its four-phase event approach, prioritizing early planning, regular communication, and clear coordination between vendors, inspectors, engineers, and the client team. By event day, everyone understood their role, schedules were aligned, and the site was prepared for a smooth installation and festival experience.

Details about the project:

The specialty-crafted welcome truss arch installed at the festival entrance was a major component of the event. The complex truss structure required meticulous engineering drawings, clear approval, and on-site inspections for the installation to run flawlessly. To keep the approval process moving efficiently, our team coordinated directly with engineers and inspectors, helping ensure the structure met all requirements and remained on schedule.

As promised, Quest AV provided reliable power solutions for all vendors throughout the festival. Audio services through Quest AV were implemented to enhance event programming and enrich the guest experience. The entirety of the event was motivated by the carefully planned pre-production, avoiding setbacks and achieving the perfect event environment.

Quote from Quest AV:

“We’ve had the privilege of supporting this event for several years, and it’s rewarding to see it continue to grow. The trust Steam Whistle places in our team means a great deal, and we’re proud to help create an experience the community looks forward to year after year.”
